Some clarification -

We do want to clarify a few things for all of you. There has been much misunderstanding on "sponsorship." Sponsorship does not cover your finals ad. All Sponsors receive advertising for their sponsorship dollars, including a finals ad. But the $50 finals ad is not included in that sponsorship. WE DID NOT CHANGE THAT RULE. It has been that way. I spoke to Sherry to clarify and she confirmed that sponsorship and finals ads have always been different, so if you have not turned in your finals ad, get them to us. You may email them or mail them. We need to start working on those finals programs! You may send PDF or JPEG with info for ads.

Why are raffle tickets and ads important? They are a large part of paying for the finals awards. Saddles, buckles, jacket and top ten prizes.

If you were not at this past rodeo, PLEASE get us your jacket size! I need to order them this week. The jackets we had there were strictly for sizing. The jackets we will get are light weight, water resistant, with a hood. If you have a tiny tot, we do have 3X small. If you think they need smaller, please let me know and I will try to get 4X small. Child sizes are boy sizes. Adult sizes are mens sizes. Keep that in mind when sending sizes! Please email sizes if we don't already have them. Adults and others may purchase a jacket, if they wish. All competitors who qualify for finals will receive theirs as an award for qualifying. Remember, to qualify competitors must participate in at least 4 rodeos between March and Sept. (The October finals does not count as one of those four), turn in all raffle ticket money and finals ad. Mark (the tech guy) will be sending out emails to confirm that you are qualified and let you know if you are not. If you have any questions, you should have received a receipt for your finals ads. The October rodeo is only for participants who are qualified but anyone may come and watch!

We hope this clarifies a few things!

2019 Queen/Princess Information

Our Queen/Princess competitions are right around the corner!  Pick up a information packet at the August 4th rodeo.
For the young ladies who are interested in running for queen/princess, we will have an informational meeting and brief clinic directly after poles on August 25. Parents are welcome. We will have a special guest to answer questions and give advice and suggestions on what it means to be a rodeo queen. Our WGJR queen will not be a superficial figure. She will represent our organization. If you are serious about running and taking on the queen/princess job, we encourage you to attend! Breezy (Smith) Johnson was Miss Rodeo Tennessee 2010. She has judged many queen competitions and has helped mentor Jr. Rodeo, Jr High Rodeo and High School Rodeo Queens, including the current Miss Rodeo USA. Breezy is also an alumni of the University of Tennessee at Martin rodeo team, so feel free to ask any questions about college rodeo! Please let us know if you plan to attend this session! We need a head count!
